Both duties are generally due within 14 days of signing. Under free trade agreements, nationals and permanent residents of the United States and nationals of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland receive the same ABSD treatment as Singapore Citizens; choose the matching citizen row. Married couples with at least one Singapore Citizen spouse may qualify for ABSD remission or a refund under strict IRAS conditions. IRAS rates as at October 2026; confirm before committing.
Planning Stamp Duty for Meyer Blue
BSD depends only on the price; ABSD depends on the buyer, through residency status and the number of homes already owned. For a household that already owns a home, ABSD can be many times the BSD, so the order of selling and buying is worth settling early.
